Goodroad: Goodroad Update

As some of you know we've been working hard on our second CD. We currently have acoustic guitar and drums done and are moving on to eletric guitar and bass. We should have a busy week in the studio coming up so hopefully in the next month or two we'll have a product for you!

Sorry to everyone who tried to make it to the show last week during the blizzard of the decade. Lava Lounge cancelled the show due to weather and we're set to try again this Thursday night at 9pm. There is no cover for this show and we'll be performing all the songs we have at our disposal, including everything from our CD, our cover songs, and the songs from our next album that we're currently working on.

Hope you can make it, it's sure to be a great time and it's also Davids 21st Birthday party!

Goodroad is currently working on material for a second full length CD. As of now we are just getting ready to head into the studio as soon as time permits. The disc should be out in Fall of '07.

Also Goodroad would like to welcome new members Brett McCarthy on drums and Steve Grimes on guitar. This past weekend Goodroad played their first two shows with the new lineup and everything went great! Stay tuned for more information about the upcoming CD and future dates.

We played at LifeLight recently and had an absolute blast. It was rough with the weather that came in that day, but everyone we met was very positive and we had a good time. The festival ended up drawing 263,000 people over the three day span. Thanks to all of you that were able to make it out to see us perform despite the weather.

We've been selected to perform this year at the Eternal Rescue festival in Yankton and we're trying to get as many people as possible to attend. This is a first year festival with some great speakers and great bands that runs all day long.

Also, we've just been selected to perform at LifeLight 2006. We'll be on the Firehouse Stage at 5pm on Friday evening. We'd like to get as many people as possible there to support one of the few local acts that will be performing at the festival. Hope you can make it to both festivals, they'll be a great time for sure!

Over the Fourth of July weekend, Goodroad was the opening band for Remedy Drive in Lennox South Dakota. Remedy Drive is a class act and a great group to work with. Also, Goodroad opened for Kory and the Fireflies at Lake Oakaboji. There were roughly 4000 people in attendance by the middle of the set. It was a great time in support of a great group. Thanks again Kory and the Fireflies.

As of this week we finally have our CD, Lonely Trip, available online for those of you who won't be able to make it to a concert soon. Check the 'Get the Music' link for more information. And thanks for all your support!

Keep you're eye's peeled for our story in CityWeekly a free publication available at most local business' in the Sioux Falls area.

Also, we can't wait to open for Kory and the Fireflies this weekend, and Quartus next weekend. If you can make it out, we'd really appreciate it!

Well we finally got our CD's this morning. Be sure to check them out at Ernie November, Last Stop CD Shop, and CrossRoads Book and Music Store. Or come to a show and check us out, we'll always have CD's with us!

We've finally set a date for our CD release show. We'll be at St. Michael's Church in Sioux Falls on 26th and Marion Rd. The date is Saturday, April 29th and the show starts at 7:30pm with special guest's Quartus.
